Both Cottages are in the area of the old Roman Village of Galava,
between the head of Lake Windermere ( Waterhead ) and the town of
Ambleside, from here it’s a short walk to the town for the shops and
restaurants with a good variety of food and the locally brewed Beers
available.
Ambleside is a great place to start the many local walks, from the nice
and easy to some a little more strenuous, with good links by road or by
local bus service.
Galava Gate has its own private car park,
1 Car space per cottage .
